Diagnostic Assessments

Marches Psychological Services offers a comprehensive range of specialist assessments. Following each assessment, you will receive a detailed report outlining findings, any diagnosis, and tailored treatment recommendations.

Autism (ASD) Assessments (Children, Young People & Adults)

  • Available online or in person
  • Conducted as a multidisciplinary assessment involving:
  • Consultant Counselling Psychologist / Neurodevelopmental Specialist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Speech and Language Therapist

Our autism assessments follow best practice standards and align with guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

We use clinically validated, gold-standard diagnostic tools to ensure accurate and reliable outcomes.

Combined ASD & ADHD assessments also available.

ADHD Assessments (Children, Young People & Adults)

  • Conducted in person in Herefordshire
  • Multidisciplinary process involving:
    • Consultant Counselling Psychologist / Neurodevelopmental Specialist
    • Psychiatrist (where medication referral is required)

Assessments are completed in accordance with:

  • NICE guidelines for children, young people and adults ADHD
  • The Adult ADHD Assessment Quality Assurance Standard (AQAS)
  • The Children and Teenagers ADHD Assessment Quality Assurance Standard (CAAQAS)

Please note that we do not prescribe medication.

PTSD Assessments

A detailed psychological assessment exploring the impact of trauma, including:

  • Use of validated clinical scales and tools
  • Evaluation of trauma severity
  • Identification of key areas for treatment focus

Neuropsychological Assessment (Treatment Planning)

This assessment supports individuals with cognitive or neurological difficulties and includes:

  • Clinical interview
  • Neurocognitive testing
  • Psychometric assessments
  • Qualitative observations
  • Review of additional relevant evidence

Rehabilitation is a highly individualised process, often involving multidisciplinary teamwork (MDT), aimed at:

  • Supporting adaptation following brain injury
  • Improving functional ability and participation
  • Achieving meaningful, goal-directed outcomes
